   1. Der Name The High Numbers wurde gewählt, „weil wir damals alle auf Pillen waren, ein bisschen auf Pot und all diese Dinge“. Die Long Faces gab es zwar nicht, aber die Small Faces, quasi als Liliput-Ausgabe der Who. Jeder dieser Musiker war nur einen Meter sechzig gross.

   1. But it already started earlier: 1960 played John Entwistle trumpet with The Confederates, with Townshend on banjo. When rock’n’roll came up, Entwistle was asked by „big bad“ Roger Daltrey, the leader of The Detours to play in his band. Entwistle changed to bass and soon Townshend also played rhythm guitar with The Detours.
